It All Started with a Bulldozer…
We were founded by Harley H. Kreth, who bought his first bulldozer on July 5th, 1946, just around the time he would welcome his son Richard to the world. Harley drove that dozer all over Amador County doing whatever work he could find, building up his business to the point where we could begin mining and selling clay in 1969 and offering decorative rocks for sale in 1988. And now, over 75 years later, our third generation owned business stands as our area’s leading source for landscaping and hardscaping materials and more!
